Match Report: Nadoes vs Ubumbo

Nadoes get it together! 8-7

Wet Wednesday evening with plenty of players out due to sickness and injury, Anton Magnus took captaincy as Graham was injured after his big hit the previous week. He asked the lads for some serious commitment and insisted we give away no tries. Apart from an early misunderstanding in the opening seconds of the game which led to their only try, the boys played hard and were hungry to tackle and defend their line.
The forwards were once again the leading force in a much improved Nadoes game. The backs managed to use good ball and cross the advantage line several times.

Andrew Martin and Paki looked solid in the midfield both on attack and defense. Jimmy rounded off a nice move after several phases to score our only try of the match.

Although the score line was only 8-7, it does not reflect our dominance of 80%-90% of the game.

Magnus, Anton had a strong game and lead the forwards to playing a tighter game! When the lads play together as a unit and do the work that forwards should do, the Nadoes game seems to come together. Of late and in parts of this game forwards have been too scattered on the field. A late penalty in the game settled a certain outcome for the Nadoes.

It looks like the lads are starting to play together, make better decisions and are really beginning to look like a class team!

p.s A mention must go to the man of the match Sean Kerry who excelled in this last game and has gone from strength to strength and finally got a well deserved man of the match!
